Brett Scott, author of The Heretic’s Guide to Global Finance: Hacking the Future of Money (sold for Bitcoin), and the founder of London School Of Financial Activism, can be described as a Finance Chartered Activist. An economic explorer. I had the chance to meet Brett for a brief interview, before his presentation at London Bitcoin Expo 2013. Some of the topics we discussed were: alternative currencies and technology, and how they can be used as day to day tools in society. The importance of trust, whether in corporate institutions, or alternative currencies. Ethics in network governance and influences by the community. Below is an excerpt from our interview. I hope you enjoy. Follow Brett on

The desire to hoard money and defend it is not anit-social it is anti-state. It is not society but the state that wants to rob you (via taxes and inflation) and the state is not society !
I believe that society and state affect each other on different levels. Yes, hoarding can be anti-state, but in order to keep private property laws must be enforced.
OK, so why not create a ‘machinery of freedom’ that can create and enforce laws without the state ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Machinery-Freedom-Guide-Radical-Capitalism/dp/0812690699/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386860329&sr=8-1&keywords=machinery+of+freedom
How about this machine? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Cybersyn
